“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all”
I Corinthians 12:7 NKJV
I. Missing pieces.
A. One body (I Corinthians 12:1-26).
Every part needs every part.
B. What every joint supply. (Ephesians 4:11-16).
The edifying of the body protects us from being led astray.
C. One hope of your calling. (Ephesians 4:1-6).
“…walk worthy of the calling with which you were called.”
II. God’s Word is not a suggestion.
A. The Word of God is living. (Hebrews 4:11-13).
God is not dead and neither is His Word.
B. The Word of God is eternal. (I Peter 1:22-25).
The Word of God is not old fashioned and it is not modern, it is eternal.
C. The Word of God is direction, not suggestion. (James 1:21-27)
The Word of God was not meant to be implied, it was meant to be applied.
III. Edifying of the body.
A. Great expectations. (Romans 3:23)
The beginning of Christianity is admitting you’re not perfect.
B. Speaking truth. (Ephesians 4:25-32)
Through rebuke or encouragement, we must seek to build each other up.
C. Love vs. Hate. (Matthew 18:15-20)
Accountability = Love, Enabling = Hate.
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10
