I. Called out.
A. Make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20).
Disciples are called to make disciples.
B. Be witnesses. (Acts 1:8).
Having a heart to reach the world.
C. We are ambassadors. (II Corinthians 5:20).
More than messengers.”
II. The Light.
A. Shine on them. (II Corinthians 4:1-6).
We are not called to shape the world’s opinion of Christianity.
B. The source. (Isaiah 60:19-20).
The Lord will be your everlasting light.
C. The source. (Revelation 22:22-27).
The Lamb is the Light.
III. Being light.
A. Opening blind eyes. (Isaiah 42:1-9)
Blindness is caused by darkness, not light.
B. Walking in light. (I John 1:5 – 2:11)
If true light is the cure for darkness, then we must live as children of light.
C. Sanctified by truth. (John 17:6-19)
“They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.”
D. Imitators of God (Ephesians 5:1-18)
“…walk circumspectly…redeeming the time because the days are evil.”
“…And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.” Matthew 15:14
