I. Made for relationship.
A. The crown of creation. (Genesis 2:15-25).
“Everything was good except that man was alone.”
B. Priority One. (Exodus 20:1-7 + Deuteronomy 6:1-9).
“No relationship is of a higher priority than our relationship with God.”
C. Manifestation of love. (I John 4:7-16).
“God is love.”
II. Singular fulfillment.
A. The gift of marriage. (I Corinthians 7:1-9 + Proverbs 18:22).
“He who finds a wife finds a good thing.”
B. Single opportunity. (I Corinthians 7:29-35).
“Focus on the Lord instead of focusing on being single.”
C. No vacancy. (Psalm 73:23-26).
“People shouldn’t occupy space reserved for God.”
III. Tunnel vision.
A. Looking onto Jesus. (Hebrews 12:1-2)
“Run toward Jesus and leave in the dust the unequally yoked suitors.”
B. Finding purpose. (Philippians 3:12-14)
“This prize is better than any trophy.”
C. Single and satisfied. (Psalm 37:1-5)
“Being single, does not mean being alone.”
“As the deer pants for the water brooks,
So pants my soul for You, O God.”
