- God rules and reigns.
Isaiah 40:22-31
He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.23 He brings princes to naught and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing. 24 No sooner are they planted,no sooner are they sown,no sooner do they take root in the ground, than he blows on them and they wither, and a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff. 25 “To whom will you compare me?Or who is my equal?” says the Holy One. 26 Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens:Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by oneand calls forth each of them by name.Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.27 Why do you complain, Jacob? Why do you say, Israel,“My way is hidden from the LORD;my cause is disregarded by my God”? 28 Do you not know?Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God,the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.29 He gives strength to the wearyand increases the power of the weak.30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;31 but those who hope in the LORDwill renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles;they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
- God’s plans for you are good and not evil.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
- God will give you what you need for every day.
Matthew 6:25-34
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?28 And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Micah 7:7
But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD,I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.
Philippians 4:19-20
