Becoming Who God Meant You To Be – June 1, 2014

“Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!” Psalm 139:14 (NLT)

FIVE FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE MY IDENTITY

1.  My Chemistry

2.  My Connections

3. My Circumstances

4.  My Consciousness

5.  My Choices

FIVE WINNING CHOICES

1.   I can choose to get healthier.

“You made me; you created me. Now give me the sense to follow your commands.” Psalm 119:73 (NLT)

  1. I can Choose to Deepen Relationships.

“Let love be your highest goal.”                        1 Cor. 14:1a (NLT)

“And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love. ”      Eph. 3:17 (NLT)

“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear.” 1 John 4:18 (NIV)

  1. I can choose to Trust God no matter what happens.

“And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn, with many brothers and sisters.”      Rom. 8:27-29 (NLT)

“I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. ” Psalm 34:1 (KJV)

4.   I can choose what I think about.

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.”    Rom. 12:2 (NLT)

5.   I can choose Jesus as my Savior.

“What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun!” 2 Cor. 5:17 (NLT)
