Giving Gratitude to God – November 15th, 2020

1. Give thanks for His greatness.

Psalm 145:3-6

Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts. They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty—and I will meditate on your wonderful works. They tell of the power of your awesome works—and I will proclaim your great deeds.

Hebrews 3:3-5

Jesus has been found worthy of greater honor than Moses, just as the builder of a house has greater honor than the house itself. For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything. “Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house,” bearing witness to what would be spoken by God in the future.

Malachi 1:5

You will see it with your own eyes and say, ‘Great is the Lord—even beyond the borders of Israel!’

Psalm 117:2

For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord.

2. Give thanks for His goodness.

Psalm 145:7-9

They celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness. The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.

Psalm 100:5

For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Psalm 34:8

Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.

3. Give thanks for His graciousness.

Psalm 145:8-9

The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.

Psalm 111:4

He has caused his wonders to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and compassionate.

Psalm 103:8

He has caused his wonders to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and compassionate.

Ephesians 2:8-9

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

Numbers 6:24-25

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
