Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 1 Corinthians 13:6

1. Love does not delight in evil.

3 For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do—living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry. 4 They are surprised that you do not join them in their reckless, wild living, and they heap abuse on you. 5 But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. 1 Peter 4:3-5

1 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, 2 but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night. Psalm 1:1-2

4 For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness; with you, evil people are not welcome. Psalm 5:4

12 Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse, 13 who have left the straight paths to walk in dark ways, 14 who delight in doing wrong and rejoice in the perverseness of evil, Proverbs 2:12-14

1 Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. Psalm 51:1-2

10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 1 John 4:10

2. Love rejoices with the truth.

6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Philippians 4:8

22 The LORD detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy. Proverbs 12:22

2 Great are the works of the LORD; they are pondered by all who delight in them. Psalm 111:2

16 I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word. Psalm 119:16

2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2
